2. Authentic Accommodation Reviews by Korean
Now, let’s get into the real-deal accommodation reviews of Travelodge Myeongdong Euljiro. I’ll be sharing with you the nitty-gritty of reviews left by actual Korean guests who’ve stayed in the hotel.
2.1. Review 1 : “Prime location in Myeongdong, but the breakfast didn’t quite hit the mark for Korean tastes.”
What It Was Like Staying at Travelodge Myeongdong Euljiro
I stayed at Travelodge Myeongdong Euljiro during a Seoul trip. The location couldn’t be better—right by Myeongdong Cathedral, close to Cheonggyecheon, and extremely convenient for transport. The room was the perfect size for two people, with separate shower and toilet areas, a reliable TV and Wi‑Fi, and standard amenities like a safe, slippers, and a water dispenser.
Staff were friendly and helpful with luggage storage. Cleanliness was average for a 3‑star hotel—no major issues, but not impeccably neat. The electric dryer only produced hot air, and there was no chair in the room, which made unpacking a bit awkward. Water pressure in the shower was great.
Breakfast buffet was included, held in a spacious basement dining area. Most items were western‑style and seemed frozen‑based—ham, eggs, fried rice, stew, etc.—along with bread, fruit, cereal, and juice. The rice porridge and soup were diluted, and the fried rice felt like reheated frozen food. Fruit and bread, however, were decent for filling up without venturing out. The crowd was mostly foreign tourists, adding to the travel vibe.
Overall, I recommend it for its superb location and convenience, especially if you’re okay with a simple breakfast and eager to experience the touristy side of Seoul!
Bullet Point Summary
Location: Right next to Myeongdong Cathedral, close to Cheonggyecheon and shopping areas – ★★★★★
Check-in/Check-out: Standard process, no special issues noted
Room:
- Reasonable space; shower booth, sink, and toilet are separated
- Well-equipped with essentials (safe, wardrobe, slippers, water dispenser)
- Stable Wi-Fi and TV connection
- Downsides: only hot air from hairdryer, no chair in the room (desk-like surface available)
Cleanliness: Moderate for a 3-star hotel; not spotless but not dirty either
Staff Service: Friendly and helpful; luggage storage available
Breakfast:
- Hours: Weekdays 07:00–09:30 (must arrive by 09:00), Weekends 07:00–10:00 (must arrive by 09:30)
- Menu: Western-style items, mostly frozen-based (ham, eggs, fried rice, spicy pork, pancakes) + porridge and soup
- Includes bread, salad, fruit, juice, and cereal
- Verdict: May not suit Korean tastes, but decent for a quick meal—especially for fruit/bread lovers
Guests: Mostly foreign tourists → enhances travel atmosphere
Other Notes: Excellent water pressure in the shower
Drawbacks: Only hot air from dryer; lack of room chair made unpacking inconvenient
Overall Recommendation:
Breakfast is basic—good for light eaters or those who prefer eating outside
Best for: Travelers seeking convenience in Myeongdong, especially first-timers or foreign visitors

2.2. Review 2 : “Great location and comfortable room, but lacking in basic amenities like water and toiletries at this otherwise value-for-money 3-star hotel.“
What It Was Like Staying at Travelodge Myeongdong Euljiro
Travelodge Myeongdong Euljiro Hotel is located right next to Exit 1 of Euljiro 3-ga Station, offering unbeatable accessibility for a trip to Seoul. With Myeongdong and the trendy Euljiro nightlife area nearby, it’s an ideal spot for both shopping and evening outings.
I booked a Superior Twin Room for around 80,000 KRW. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was tidy, with a separate shower booth stocked with shampoo and body wash, and the hairdryer had strong airflow, which was a nice plus.
However, the room didn’t provide bottled water or disposable toiletries, which had to be purchased from vending machines on the first floor—this was a bit inconvenient. The fridge was empty, and there was no cable or OTT service, so the TV only offered standard channels.
There was a small table and chair in the room, and the closet included plenty of hangers, making it practical. Wi-Fi access required entering the room number and obtaining the password from the front desk.
The lobby and hotel interior were mostly populated by foreign guests (mainly from China and Southeast Asia), but there were no issues or discomfort.
There’s a café in the basement where breakfast is served, and it also sells coffee, wine, beer, and cocktails, making it a good evening spot. Note that there are only two elevators, so wait times during busy hours can be a bit long.Bullet Point Summary
