Now, let’s get into the real-deal accommodation reviews of Hotel Kukdo. I’ll be sharing with you the nitty-gritty of reviews left by actual Korean guests who’ve stayed in the hotel.
3.1. Review 1 : “A Comfortable Stay in Central Seoul with My Child“
What It Was Like Staying at Hotel Kukdo
Stayed at “Hotel Kukdo” in Euljiro for one night with my elementary-aged child during our 3-day Seoul trip. The hotel had excellent accessibility to major tourist spots like Gyeongbokgung, Blue House, and Insa-dong, with a direct bus from Seoul Station—a huge plus for travelers from other regions.
The hotel had a striking appearance at night with vivid lighting. On the ground floor were a spacious convenience store and a pharmacy—reassuring for traveling with kids. Luggage storage was available before check-in. We stayed on the 20th (top) floor in a Standard Family Twin Room, which was spacious and fit for a family of three. The blackout curtains enabled restful sleep, and we even had a view of Namsan Seoul Tower at night.
Inside, the sink was at the entrance, facing the bathroom and tub. Water pressure was excellent. The room came with 3 regular towels, 3 large bath towels, 3 bottles of water, and 3 pairs of slippers. Toothbrushes and toothpaste weren’t provided but were available for purchase downstairs. Amenities like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were in refillable containers.
Other highlights included a unique one-piece gown, a full-length mirror that delighted my child, and a roomy desk. The TV and phone felt a bit outdated, but Wi-Fi was acceptable. Overall, it was a convenient and family-friendly hotel.
Bullet Point Summary
Hotel: Hotel Kukdo in Euljiro / Standard Family Twin Room
Location: Near Seoul Station, Gyeongbokgung, Insa-dong
Transport: Direct bus from Seoul Station / great accessibility
Amenities: Large convenience store and pharmacy on 1F, luggage storage
Room: Double + single bed, blackout curtains, Namsan Tower night view
Bathroom: Strong water pressure, 3 towels + 3 bath towels
Supplies: 3 bottles of water, slippers, refillable shampoo & body wash (no toothbrush/paste)
Features: One-piece gown, full-length mirror, large desk, slightly old TV
Extra: Free breakfast for under-60-month-old with parent, checkout at 12 PM, friendly staff

3.2. Review 2 : “Great Location, But Breakfast & Gym Disappointed“
What It Was Like Staying at Hotel Kukdo
Following up on the previous review of Hotel Kukdo in Euljiro, here’s my honest take on the breakfast buffet and gym. While the location and basic amenities were satisfactory, the breakfast and fitness center didn’t quite meet expectations.
Breakfast is served at “Dumera Buffet” on the 2nd floor. It runs from 7:00 to 9:30 AM, with a discounted rate of 16,500 KRW for guests. The space was clean and spacious, with large windows offering an open street view. Despite a decent ambiance, the food selection felt limited for the price.
Menu highlights included fries, scrambled eggs, bacon, French toast, rice with doenjang soup, cream soup, sausages, salads, fruits (mango, rambutan), breads, cereal, and beverages. While the variety was decent, it fell short in quality and didn’t warrant a repeat visit.
The gym is located on the M2 floor, accessible via the emergency stairwell behind the buffet. Operating from 6 AM to 10 PM, the gym was very small, with limited equipment. It was hard to explore in detail since another guest was using it at the time.
Overall, Hotel Kukdo is a reasonable choice for accommodation in Euljiro, but I wouldn’t recommend it for the breakfast or gym experience.
Bullet Point Summary
Hotel: Hotel Kukdo (Euljiro) – Breakfast & Gym Review
Breakfast: 2F Dumera Buffet / 07:00–09:30 / 16,500 KRW for guests
Menu: Mixed Korean-Western options (scrambled eggs, soup, fruits, bread)
Downside: Limited variety & value for price / wouldn’t use again
Gym: Located on M2 via back stairwell / Open 06:00–22:00
Size: Very small, minimal equipment / Not recommended
Verdict: Good location, but skip the breakfast and gym if you stay
