2.1. Review 1 : “A Bright City View Staycation in Seoul – My Honest Review of G3 Hotel Chungmuro Deluxe Corner Double Room”
What It Was Like Staying at G3 Hotel Chungmuro
When it’s too cold to go outside but you still want a date, a staycation is the perfect solution. I booked a Deluxe Corner Double Room at G3 Hotel in Chungmuro, Seoul through Booking.com a couple of months in advance at a discounted rate of around 170,000–180,000 KRW. The regular price is around 190,000–200,000 KRW.
The hotel is literally right outside Exit 6 of Chungmuro Station, so it was super easy to get to even with luggage. Check-in was at 3 PM and check-out at 12 PM, which gave us a relaxed schedule (though I noticed the checkout time might now be 11 AM, so double-check that). The hotel exterior looked modern, and the staff at reception were friendly—despite arriving 20 minutes early, they let us check in right away after confirming our reservation.
We were assigned Room 1605 on the 16th floor, the last room at the corner. The room had two large windows, which made it super bright and sunny. I especially loved the vanity with a huge LED mirror that lit up with a button—perfect for doing makeup. There was a small table in front of the bed, and next to the bed were amenities like a hair dryer, cups, kettle, coffee, tea, and two bottles of water. A small fridge, safe, slippers, laundry bags, shoehorn, and lint roller were also provided.
The bathroom was just to the right of the entrance. Though compact, it was very clean and included a bathtub. Toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, toothbrushes, comb, cotton pads, ear swabs, and shower caps were all provided.
The basement level featured a restaurant for breakfast (7:00–10:00 AM, 27,500 KRW for adults), a coin laundry room with iron, ice machine, and microwave, and a small fitness center. The gym was quite compact with light weights, suitable more for casual workouts.
At night, the city lights created a beautiful view, and in the morning the soft orange sunlight poured into the room, giving a completely different and refreshing feel. Since this was for my boyfriend’s birthday, I wanted a nice room, and the view from the bed was totally worth it.
Overall, G3 is a clean, newer hotel that offers great value for a Seoul staycation. It’s well located, visually pleasing, and had everything we needed for a memorable celebration.

2.2. Review 2 : “Clean, Modern, and Netflix-Ready – 2-Night Stay at G3 Hotel in Chungmuro, Seoul“
What It Was Like Staying at G3 Hotel Chungmuro
While planning a short trip to Seoul, I chose G3 Hotel Chungmuro because it was new, well-rated, and budget-friendly. I booked a Standard Double Room via Agoda for around 190,000 KRW for 2 nights. Located less than a minute’s walk from Exit 6 of Chungmuro Station, the hotel was incredibly convenient—close to Myeongdong, Seoul Station, and other central spots.
The hotel exterior was simple but modern and clean, resembling a business hotel. The lobby and check-in process were smooth, and there were two elevators with no long waits, even during check-in/out times. I was assigned Room 907 on the 9th floor, and upon entering, I was pleasantly surprised. The room wasn’t too small, everything was very clean, and it felt fresh without any overpowering “new building” smell.
Next to the bed was an LED-lit makeup mirror—something I often miss in other hotels. It made getting ready so much easier. The room also had two bathrobes, plenty of hangers (great for bulky winter clothes), and slippers with a surprisingly comfy sole. The bathroom was a bit small compared to other hotels, and the flush button system was slightly confusing, but otherwise very clean.
Toiletries included toothbrushes, toothpaste, cotton swabs, cotton pads, a comb, and a shower cap. The hair dryer was powerful, unlike the weak ones often found in hotels—definitely a highlight! The bathtub was small but functional, and refillable shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were provided.
One of my favorite features was the TV that supported Netflix, YouTube, and other streaming services—perfect for a cozy night in. The mattress was comfortably soft, though the pillows were quite low. The bedding was clean with no odors, although the duvet shed a bit of lint.
Another major plus: there were lights and USB charging ports right by the bed—so convenient for phone use at night. The hotel also offers extras like humidifier or wine glass rental if needed. Breakfast was available for 15,000 KRW per person, which I skipped in favor of sleep.
The only downside was the Wi-Fi—each floor only has one router, so connection could slow down with multiple users. Still, the overall cleanliness, comfort, location, and price made this a great choice. I’d definitely recommend G3 Hotel if you’re staying near Myeongdong, Chungmuro, or Euljiro.
